Sindh (Karachi Division).
For Karachi Division, DUHS publishes one final merit list for MBBS and one for BDS, covering the public colleges of DUHS, JSMU, KMDC and SMBBMC (Lyari). Seats are then given out in person, on a “merit cum choice” basis: students come in merit order and pick from the seats still open. DUHS does not publish which merit number took the last seat in each college, so there is no official college-wise closing merit. These are the official figures:
| What | MBBS | BDS |
|---|---|---|
| Students on the final merit list | 2,683 | 2,003 |
| Top aggregate | 96.289% | 92.164% |
| Called for final seat allocation | Merit no. 1 to 1,000 | Merit no. 1 to 1,000 |
| Aggregate at merit no. 1,000 | 82.19% | 78.532% |
| Allocation dates | 6 and 7 December 2025 | 21 December 2025 |
Being called is not the same as getting a seat: a student near merit number 1,000 is admitted only if a seat is still open when their turn comes. On the first MBBS allocation day DUHS called merit numbers 1 to 469; the aggregate at merit number 469 was 85.242%. Work out your Sindh aggregate with the Sindh aggregate calculator.
NUMS colleges.
NUMS admits to its own constituent and affiliated colleges, such as Army Medical College in Rawalpindi, with its own test: 150 subject MCQs plus a 50-MCQ psychological paper. The aggregate is still 10% Matric, 40% FSc and 50% test.
We have not found an official NUMS document with college-wise closing aggregates that we could check, and the figures quoted on other websites do not agree with each other. So we do not publish NUMS closing merit. Check NUMS's merit lists on its admissions portal, and practise with the NUMS 2026 paper and answer key.

Questions students ask
What is closing merit?
The aggregate of the last student who got a seat in a college, in a given seat category, after the final merit list. Anyone above it who listed that college high enough could have had the seat.
What was the closing merit for MBBS in KPK in 2025-26?
On open merit, from 94.7727% at Khyber Medical College down to 93.1131% at KMU Institute of Medical Sciences, in KMU's final round.
What was the closing merit for MBBS in Punjab in 2025-26?
On open merit, from 94.8677% at King Edward Medical University (KEMC), Lahore down to 93.5091% at Narowal Medical College, Narowal, worked out from UHS's thirteenth and final selection list.
What was the closing merit in Sindh?
DUHS did not publish college-wise closing figures for Karachi Division. Its notices called merit numbers 1 to 1,000 for the final MBBS seat allocation; merit number 1,000 had an aggregate of 82.19%.
What is the NUMS closing merit?
NUMS publishes its own merit lists for the colleges it admits to. We have not found an official college-wise closing list from NUMS that we could check, so we do not publish NUMS closing figures.
Why is Sindh's merit lower than Punjab's and KPK's?
Each province ranks only its own applicants, with its own seats, and Matric and FSc marks differ between boards. Compare yourself only with the list you will be on.
Is the aggregate formula the same everywhere?
Yes. KMU, UHS, the Sindh universities, BUMHS and NUMS all use 10% Matric, 40% FSc and 50% MDCAT. NUMS counts its psychological paper inside the test part.
