The psychological test, explained.

Paper II has 50 MCQs in 15 minutes. NUMS describes it as evaluating a candidate from the perspective of aptitude and the mental robustness to face demanding medical studies. It is not a subject test, so there is no syllabus behind it.

  • Answer honestly. It looks at aptitude and temperament, not knowledge, so trying to guess an “ideal” answer only slows you down.
  • Watch the clock. Fifty MCQs in fifteen minutes is about 18 seconds each. Go with your first sensible answer.
  • Do not over-prepare. There is no syllabus to memorise. Read a few sample items so the format is familiar, and spend your time on Paper I.

Prepare for NUMS in four steps.

  1. Step 1Learn the NUMS splitGive Physics and Chemistry more time than you would for MDCAT alone.

My experience with Eprepare was exceptional, and im more than satisfied. Eprepare helped me immensely in understanding concepts more clearly, especially Physics, which was my weakest subject. The Bookline MCQs were invaluable in strengthening my concepts and making sure I understood everything I needed to know. All the other features, such as the Koshash Series, Quick Revision MCQs, My Wrong MCQs, and many more, were incredibly useful for effective preparation. On top of that, there are past-year papers, lecture videos, notes, FLPs, and so much more. It genuinely feels like a treasure trove for every MDCAT student, where you can find practically EVERYTHING you need for preparation, all in one place.10/10 highly recommended to all future MDCAT aspirants! ❤️
